In this collection of the “Kraton” series, we are inspired by the meaning of the heirloom of the Kraton Yogyakarta or in Javanese culture, it is called the eight “Ampilan Dalem”, one of which is the embodiment of Banyal (Goose). “Ampilan Dalem” are the heirlooms that accompany the Sultan during his miyos or walking out to attend major ceremonies at the Keraton (Jumenengan Dalem or coronation). Banyal (Goose) itself symbolizes vigilance and chastity.

We were inspired by this tradition to make a piece called “Ardayana”. This Sanskrit language has the meaning of conscience and also inner voice.
